Program Description

Wellspring Texas is one of the world's most effective weight loss camps for boys and girls ages 11-18 who want to lose weight, get in shape, and have the best summer of their lives. Located in the heart of Texas' beautiful Hill Country, our campus features access to premier natural attractions such as the Colorado and Guadalupe Rivers and Enchanted Rock, as well as comfortable lodging and state-of-the-art on-campus amenities.

Campers choose from four, six, eight, or ten-week sessions filled with team sports, swimming, hiking, canoeing, biking, rafting, kayaking, climbing, and aerobics, which build campers' endurance and physical fitness. A camp that goes far beyond traditional camp activities, Wellspring Texas also offers nutrition and culinary classes paired with delicious meals and snacks to help campers grow accustomed to a healthy lifestyle and a diet made up of delicious low-fat foods.

Like all Wellspring camps, Wellspring Texas is not a diet or fat camp. Campers feel understood and supported by a positive group of staff and peers in an environment focused on learning a new way of life and addressing the real reasons young people overeat. In a short period of time, campers experience dramatic and rapid weight loss, while learning the skills they need to continue losing weight after they return home. Campers average a weight loss of 4 pounds per week, and 70% of Wellspring campers maintain or continue their weight loss at home.
