The Family Program is a hallmark of Sierra Tucson's successful treatment. This dynamic four-day program is included with each person's treatment to enhance long-term recovery and extend healing to the family. Invited family members are given the opportunity to participate in therapy, face their own issues, and work toward resolution. A Couple's Workshop provides an opportunity for all couples in the Family Program to tend to their relationship issues and receive educational and therapeutic support for recovery. A Family Youth Program provides age-appropriate activities for family members 11-17 years of age. Young people begin to understand and emotionally process the turmoil they have experienced and learn new life skills.
The 12-Step philosophy is utilized as a basis for the treatment programs at Sierra Tucson, and individuals are encouraged to use the 12-Step principles in their recovery. Twelve-Step meetings are held on campus, and patients may attend off-campus meetings, as well.
