Program Description
Cove Forge Behavioral Health is a residential treatment center with two distinct programs for adolescent and young adult males. The Trust House provides residential treatment for males ages 12 to 21 with a dual diagnosis of serious emotional disturbance, mental illness, and mental retardation. The Challenge House provides residential treatment for teenage boys ages 12 to 18 who are experiencing serious emotional disturbance and/or mental illness.
The multidisciplinary staff at Cove Forge helps patients achieve a level of functioning that allows them to live in a community setting by providing academics, individualized treatment planning, intensive mental health services and medical care. Treatment is tailored to the special needs of each patient and may include:
- Medical Care and 24-Hour Nursing
- Psychiatric Services
- Individual and Group Therapy
- Experiential Therapy/Ropes Course
- Family Therapy
- Fully Accredited Academic Program (provided through the Williamsburg Area School District)
- Daily Living Skills Education and Practice
- Prevocational/Vocational Experiences
- Recreational Activities
- Individualized Treatment Planning
- Continuing Care and Discharge Planning
- Referrals to Specialty Services
Cove Forge Behavioral Health is accredited by the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Health Care Organizations (JCAHO) and is licensed by the Office of Mental Health, the Office of Children & Youth Families, and the Pennsylvania Department of Public Welfare as a Type 53 Provider.
