The Parkersburg Clinic is a methadone/Suboxone clinic that can help you end your opioid addiction today.

We are a methadone clinic located in Wood County at 184 Holiday Hills Drive in Parkersburg, West Virginia. The Parkersburg Treatment Center provides medically supervised methadone maintenance and Suboxone (buprenorphine) detox treatment to individuals who are attempting to overcome an addiction to or dependence upon heroin or other opioids.

Our staff truly understands the hardship and utter despair that a person feels when struggling with an addiction. Everybody is different and so is their path to recovery. When you come to our clinic, we listen to your specific situation and adjust your recovery plan accordingly. This is all done in an environment of compassion, trust, understanding, and patience. We have helped MANY people overcome this struggle and know that recovery is VERY possible.

Methadone hydrochloride is a synthetic “opioid agonist,” which means that it acts in a way that is similar to morphine and other narcotic medications. When used in proper doses as part of a medically supervised opioid addiction treatment program, methadone blocks cravings and other withdrawal symptoms without creating the euphoric or sedative states that result from opioid abuse.

Buprenorphine is a partial opioid receptor agonist. Like methadone, buprenorphine can relieve opioid withdrawal symptoms without producing the intoxicating effects that are associated with opioid abuse. Buprenorphine was the first medication for the treatment of opioid dependence to be approved under the Drug Addiction Treatment Act of 2000.

To be eligible for this type of treatment at the Parkersburg Treatment Center, prospective patients much be at least 18 years old, and must have been addicted to or dependent upon opiates for a minimum of one year prior to seeking treatment.

Prescription drug abuse is a real problem in West virginia. This is because these type of substances are easily attainable. However, because of the pricing, Heroin is starting to raise in popularity. As a result of these factors, drug overdose rates have been extremely high. Fortunately, we at Parksersburg Treatment Center have been saving lives from substance abuse. Please contact us if you feel that you or someone you know may need saving.
