Program Information

Wilmington Treatment Center offers addiction treatment services to adult men and women at three locations in North Carolina and South Carolina. Since 1984, Wilmington has built a nationally recognized reputation and has fostered long-standing relationships within the community. Energized by the knowledge that addiction is a treatable disease, Wilmington Treatment Center incorporates evidence based treatment and state of the art detoxification protocols. We use a locally developed highly effective multidisciplinary approach that is tailored to allow the staff to meet the patient wherever they are on their pathway of recovery. With integrity as our moral compass, we are accountable to our patients for excellent treatment and compassionate care, provided in an atmosphere of dignity and respect.
The outpatient program at Wilmington Treatment Center consists of relapse-prevention groups, education groups, social-support groups, individual counseling and family counseling delivered over 32 sessions. A 90 minute family education session is also incorporated that utilizes the Matrix Model for Family Education. We strive to work closely with all referral sources, including DSS, Courts, Primary Care Physicians, individual therapists and other agencies. We recommend and encourage all patients to become involved in community 12 step support groups as a way to establish and maintain long term recovery, including the use of a sponsor and working the steps of the program. WTC-IOP in Wilmington meets Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday. Day and evening programs are available.
