Parent Success Stories

What parents are saying

You gave us our son back…how do you put a price on that? You should see him! He is energetic, happy, outgoing, confident, works out daily, looking forward to school starting next week. He is at his goal weight and participates in family food choices. The shock and awe on family and friends faces when Trevor came home has been fitting for a video clip that would be played over and over on YouTube. I owe you more than what you will ever know; with the sincerest of thanks and tears welling in my eyes I will close this note.

Our son is becoming the person I always knew he could be. He’s graduating near the top of his class, and received a fully-paid four year scholarship to Ohio State University, where he’ll start in the fall. Gone is the angry kid who wasn’t happy with himself. In his place is a happy, confident young man.

I can’t thank you and your staff enough for all that you did for our entire family.

I cannot tell you the impact [our son] made on all of us during his recent visit home. He was polite, well mannered, calm, attentive, thoughtful, respectful, observant, sociable, considerate, tidy, understanding when we had to rush through things, up early and ready to go each day, pleasant, trustworthy, never argumentative, caring and helpful to others. In all honesty, we did not have any difficulties with him. I want to share with you the growth and maturity in which Jeremy showed us this weekend. I would like to take a moment to thank you for your continued support to Jeremy and our family. Each person at SMS is making a difference in not only our son’s life but in our family life. We have enjoyed each visit more and more. We are feeling like a family that is whole again and the healing that has taken place this last year has been amazing. Thank you!

We brought our son to the Academy at Swift River broken and unhappy. We feared for his safety and those around him. Our family life was in shambles. He returned to us, the boy we knew and loved prior to his involvement with substance abuse and new circle of so called friends. He is doing well in college, but most of all, has become a young man of character. ASR is as tough for the parents as it is for the kids, but it works.

I am forever grateful to The Oakley School for providing the environment so that my daughter could turn her life round.  She is an ‘07′ graduate from college.
